Dr. Yaël Nazé

Yaël NAZÉ is an astrophysicist and currently works at the University of Liège, where she previously completed her PhD (2004). She devotes part of her free time to popularisation (conferences, animations, exhibitions, articles). This has led her to publish a remarkable series of books for which she has received numerous awards, notably for her skills in popularising science. Yaël NAZÉ also excels in communication with the general public and regularly gives popularisation conferences in Belgium and abroad (France, Luxembourg, Mexico, Iran, Algeria, Romania...).

Pr. Hervé CAPS

Physicist and professor at the University of Liège, Hervé CAPS is a researcher involved in many public outreach activities. Several of his actions have focused on the link between art and science, such as theatre, music and painting. He organises exhibitions for the general public, such as the "Science et Culture" event and the "Printemps des Sciences".  He has been awarded several prizes, including the 2019 Honorary Prize of the Club des Entreprises-Partenaires du Théâtre de Liège, for his collaboration with the artist Gwendoline Robin and the setting up of the scientific tours of the Théâtre de Liège. He is also the director of the Maison de la Science and the Musée Universitaire de l'ULiège.

Alice Collignon

Alice is a researcher at the University of Liège, where she is doing a PhD at the Faculty of Medicine, GIGA Cancer. Passionate about public speaking, Alice is sometimes trained in improvisation or is a guide at the Aquarium Museum of Liège. In 2022, she took part in the Ma Thèse en 180 Seconds competition and won the Liège final with the jury prize and the ReD prize. She then won the Belgian inter-university final on 10 June in Namur. It is in Montreal that she will represent Belgium for the international final of this prestigious competition of scientific popularisation.

Martine VANHERCK

Martine is in charge of the dissemination of scientific and technological culture within Réjouisciences.  By supporting existing dissemination initiatives and encouraging the development of new activities, Réjouisciences assists teachers and researchers at the University of Liège in their mediation activities with schools and the general public. These initiatives aim to promote knowledge and the scientific process, to improve the perception of STEM professions, to design educational tools, and to maintain a dialogue between science and society. Both operational and reflective, the actions carried out by Réjouisciences are adapted to each public and its needs: laboratory visits, teachers in your classroom, interactive exhibitions, conferences, scientific workshops, etc. Réjouisciences also carries out large-scale actions such as the Printemps des Sciences, the Nuit des Chercheur.es, the Semaine du cerveau or the Ma thèse en 180 secondes competition, as well as disciplinary days such as Darwin Day, Pi Day, climate days, etc.
