How can I contact PhD students?
Being in contact with PhD students from their doctoral college is THE essential task of the relay! In order to relay as well as bring up information, it is mandatory that the relay is well known from PhD students in their college. In this way, PhD students know who to turn to when they are in need. Therefore, a short introductory email at the start of the year is an excellent idea… Here is how to proceed:
Contacting the PhD students from your college:
MyULiège (use your “s” username) > Gestion > Mon doctorat > Outil courriel > Select “Les doctorants de: [select your doctoral college]” and transfer that to “Destinataires” by clicking on the “>” sign > Write your email > Send the email.Be careful to only select the doctoral college concerned by your message and only this one! Let’s avoid useless spam emails which already end up in our inboxes too often. In the same spirit, you can tick the box named “Si les doctorant•es sont dans les destinataires, exclure ceux•celles qui ont terminé”.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you do not have access to the list of colleges in your MyULiege email tool. This is a special access for which we need to send a request and it might take a few days to be activated.
Lastly, do not forget to introduce yourself to the person responsible for PhD students in your college: they also possess useful information!
