Communication at ULiege

The IT resources offered by the university are listed here. We have listed some of the tools you might need during your doctorate.

Telephone

  • From an ULiège landline, simply enter the last 4 digits of the numbers 04 366 XXXX to make an internal call to other members of staff (colleagues, administration, IT department, etc.). From a mobile phone or from home, just type the full number 04 366 XXXX.
  • Telephone numbers can be found in the staff directory (MyULiège ‘u’: Personnel → Répertoire ULiège/ répertoire CHU) or at the bottom of university web pages.
  • For emergency calls (fire, injured person...), call 101 for the police, or 112 for the fire department/ambulance and make an internal call to the central alarm station on (04 366) 4444. More info here.
  • Is there a landline telephone in your office and would you like your name to appear on it? Fill in a request on this page. Choose telephony (via SAM).

Staff Directory

It is possible to

  • Find an e-mail address, an internal telephone number and the job title of a member of staff whose name you know.
  • Find someone's name from their telephone number.
  • Find the job title (administration, research unit, etc.) from an email address.

Doctoral students are listed in this directory (under their ‘u’ identifier) and in the student directory (under their ‘s’ identifier).

Do you need to send a document to the university administration? For example, the signed letter awarding your doctoral grant, a note with completed expenses...

Use the university's internal mail service! You don't need a stamp, just ask the secretariat for special yellow envelopes used for internal mail. Simply write the name of the building and the department/name of the recipient, then post the envelope in the letterboxes provided for internal mail.
